I have completed a 5 month business development project with the Princess Royal Trust for Carers, focusing on the future sustainability of local Carers' Centres. Using a series of resources and toolkits on strategic planning, partnership working and preparing for competitive tendering, centres can review and develop their practices to ensure their continued development and growth. For example, "Fit for Tendering; Fit for Business" workshops looked at what policies and procedures a centre needs to have in place to demonstrate its competence as a business and provider of support services to carers. "Sarah picked up quickly on the structure, culture and working practice of the Trust and its network of Carers' Centres.  She did a skilled job of merging her own professionalism and expertise and the experience of the steering group members" Jane Burt - Director of Operations
